TERMS OF ENTRY

Thanks for purchasing a ticket to GABS Beer, Cider & Food Festival! You’re in for a treat.

For us, GABS is all about sharing our love of craft beer and cider through an exceptional experience. And as one of our awesome attendees, you play a big part in creating that experience. Here’s some more info on what you can expect at our event, and what we ask for from you.

BEHAVIOUR

While there’s a lot of alcohol available, GABS is by no means a swillathon. Take your time, plan your drinks, and consume responsibly. Mix it up with plenty of water, which is freely available throughout the festival. We have a zero tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour, so unless you want our big security guard Mike to escort you out of the building, play it cool and look after your mates.

WHAT TO BRING

YOUR TICKET
Once you’ve completed your order, this will be emailed to you. Print it out, have it ready on your phone, or open it in the Eventbrite app. No ticket, no entry.

PROOF OF AGE
An encyclopaedic knowledge of 80s pop songs won’t cut it. Licence, passport or proof of age card are a must-have.

CREDIT CARD
GABS is a 100% cashless event. With no cash to handle, this helps our bars and exhibitors process transactions quickly, which means more time for you to enjoy the festival.

Melbourne & Sydney. You’ll need a valid credit card to purchase food, drinks and merchandise using Square paywave readers. No cash is accepted at all.

Auckland. You’ll be given a Currency Wristband on arrival and can top up with GABS Currency onsite using cash or credit card. You then use your Currency Wristband for all transactions.

MY DAN MURPHY'S CARD
For our Australian attendees, if you’re a member of the My Dan Murphy’s loyalty program, be sure to bring your membership card, or download and log into the Dan Murphy’s app to display the card on your phone.

A SILLY HAT
If you’re coming to Session 5 at GABS Melbourne, bring a silly hat. You’ll thank us later.

WHAT NOT TO BRING

Bottles, cans, glass, food, drink, alcohol, illicit drugs, illegal substances, fireworks, explosives or anything that can be used as a weapon cannot be brought into the event. Please note that all bags will be checked on arrival, and are also subject to inspection at any point during the event.

CHILDREN

Melbourne & Sydney. Children are welcome to attend our Australian events. Entry for kids under 16 are free, and no ticket is required. All children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Anyone under the age of 18 will be required to wear a wristband throughout the duration of the event.

Auckland. Due to licensing restrictions, GABS Auckland is an entirely 18+ event. No children under the age of 18 will be permitted entry, including infants.

TICKET REFUNDS & TRANSFERS

Refunds. Unfortunately refunds on tickets are not available. Please consider carefully before completing your ticket purchase.

Transfers to another person. If you’re unable to use your tickets, they can be given to another person.

Transfers to another session. Each GABS festival runs in five hour ‘sessions’. If you want to change your tickets to a different session (at the same event), you can do this up until 48 hours prior to the event, provided that tickets are still on sale for that other session. For more info on how to do this, check out this handy guide from Eventbrite.

Transfers to another event. If you inadvertently booked tickets to the wrong festival entirely (oops), please send a note with your name, email and details of your transfer to contact@gabs.beer and we’ll sort you out.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Somebody got you a gift voucher? You lucky thing, you.

Gift vouchers can be redeemed for up to four Single Session tickets to a nominated GABS event (see your voucher for details). Tickets must be booked online only at www.gabsfestival.com from the day tickets go on sale until midnight two days prior to the event. After this time, the promotional code will expire and the gift voucher will be invalid. Gift vouchers may not be redeemed at the event, refunded or exchanged for cash. Please look after your gift voucher and try not to misplace it, as GABS unfortunately can’t help if it is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission. All standard GABS terms and conditions of entry apply.

BAR SERVICE TIMES

All bars at GABS will open at the published start time of each session. You’ll know they’re open as we ring a massive bell, which can be heard throughout the festival hall. All bars will close 15 minutes prior to the published closing time of each session. Again, big bell.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING

By attending the festival, you agree and understand that your image may be taken at the event by GABS photographers and/or videographers, and consent to the commercial use of such images by GABS for advertising, marketing and social media purposes. If you do not want GABS to use your image, please email a clear photograph of yourself to contact@gabs.beer in advance of the event you are attending, and we’ll make every effort to ensure no such images are used.
